Lia Petridis Maiello has been working as a journalist since 1994 for different German and U.S. American outlets. Her work appeared in die tageszeitung, der freitag, Badische Zeitung, Deutsche Welle, Financial Times Germany and ARD – German TV, ZDF – German TV, WBAI radio, Amsterdam News, Women’s Media Center, Aufbau, New Yorker Staatszeitung and The Huffington Post. She is holding an MA degree from the German University of Bielefeld in the subjects of History, Social History and Modern Literature, and has also studied in Pisa, Italy.

David Gilmour, Iggy Pop, Joe Elliott, Jimi Hendrix, Debbie Harry, Kurt Cobain and David Bowie – those are the heroes of my youth!
